Last week (Feb 6th) we had our first Bible study of 2026. We are studying Genesis (the 1st book of the Bible). We understand that this book sets the whole stage for the Bible as a unified story. Also, Genesis touches the core beliefs and basic understand that will be deepened and developed as we go through the reading of the complete Bible. We won’t publish here the content of our discussion in the group (at least not for now), but we’ll give here the guidelines we used for this first conversation of the 4 initial chapters of Genesis narrative. The way we are doing it is by going verry slowly throughout the narrative and looking closely at every character as they appear and play their role in the story. We are meditating and bring to table our perception of each one of them, trying to understand what they communicate about the reality we are in: how thing become as they are and how God relates to our reality. We have a lot ground to cover and we have just started the proposed guideline, so, that is a very good time for you to hop in. /// Na semana passada (6 de fevereiro), tivemos nosso primeiro estudo bíblico de 2026. Estamos estudando Gênesis (o primeiro livro da Bíblia). Entendemos que este livro estabelece o contexto para toda a Bíblia como uma narrativa unificada. Além disso, Gênesis aborda as crenças centrais e a compreensão básica que serão aprofundadas e desenvolvidas à medida que avançamos na leitura da Bíblia completa. Não publicaremos aqui o conteúdo da nossa discussão em grupo (pelo menos não por enquanto), mas deixaremos aqui as diretrizes que usamos para esta primeira conversa sobre os quatro capítulos iniciais da narrativa de Gênesis.
